One of the great cycling films of all time, this documentary from the highly acclaimed Danish director, Jørgen Leth, brings you the drama of Paris-Roubaix, the most brutal of one-day bicycle races. Since 1896, the best bike racers on earth have come to test their very souls in this epic, 160-mile Spring Classic. The race features twenty-eight torturous sections of narrow, cobblestone road. And it’s almost guaranteed that the riders will have inclement weather to reckon with as well. Race along with such giants of the road as Eddy Merckx, Francesco Moser, Freddy Maertens, and Roger De Vlaeminck as they strive to finish the 1976 edition of the “Hell of the North” victorious.
